Site News and Announcements
October 30
We've rolled out some important updates to the site. Most apparent is the addition of some much needed contextual explanation as to what's what on the site and why you should care. Hopefully, the concept of how credibility can be established online is clear and the tools we provide to make that happen are usable. There are forum threads about this in the forum, so please let us know what you think.
It's time to pass the test and get your profile going. It's never been more important to be heard if you've got something good to say. Informed Opinions is how you advertise your credibility and give people a single destination to hear from you - no matter where you spend your time online. October 10
Informed Opinions kicked off in Nashville, TN at the second of the three presidential debates. We took to the streets to test our basic premise - that most people who are passionate about politics don't know very much about it - and to publicize the notion that political opinions should only matter if they're informed opinions. We conducted surveys while peddling partisan t-shirts. The surveys were really 20-question quizzes on basic government, economics, history, politics, and current events. The results were as follows:
Number surveys taken: 91 Avg. Percentage Correct: 64% Number of 100% Scores: 1 Lowest Score: 40% You can check out some footage of our experience in the video box. |
